Yesterday evening we held our Summer Showcase @UCGSchool! Through the theme of Mission Impossible, it was a fabulous evening of music and dancing! A big thank you and well done to all students involved!
Year 7 students visited the Sculpture Park this week to apply their sketching techniques to art in the natural environment - students really enjoyed the experience and their day out in the sun!
This week @UCGSchool we held our annual ACTIVE week, which is an inclusive event where every student, no matter their active preference, has the opportunity to engage in physical activity. Well done to every single student involved!
Our students completed our school’s section of our @PioneerEduTrust Charity Challenge walking 8 miles from @UCGSchool to Desborough College. A huge well done to students & staff and all for a fantastic cause!
Year 10 students visited Stratford and Amersham/River Wye as part of their GCSE geography field work this week and collected valuable data for their study. Well done to all involved!
Year 12 A’ Level Maths students participated in a mechanics workshop this week to deepen their understanding of key mechanical theories that bridge the gap between abstract concepts and their real-world applications. Well done to all involved!
Our students attended the Houses of Parliament this week to gain a greater understanding of democracy, laws, and the role of MPs. The opportunity inspired student interest in political and social issues and how to be an active citizen!
Today @UCGSchool we held our annual Prize-giving Ceremony. It was a wonderful occasion, in which we celebrated our students’ achievements and congratulations to all students who received awards!
Year 8 and 12 Product Design students attended the Big Bang Fair at the NEC this week, exploring STEM innovations and future career pathways – well done to all involved!

Our Year 12 students visited @FoxboroughSch this week to support their Year 4 and 6 students with the topics of electric circuits and time travel – well done to all involved!
Our Year 9 students completed their @DofE Bronze Practice Expedition today. Students gained valuable experience in planning, training for and completing an adventurous self-sufficient journey as part of a team! Well done to all involved!
We said ‘goodbye’ and ‘good luck’ to all of our Year 11 and 13 students during their Leavers’ Assemblies @UCGSchool this week – we wish all students every success in their GCSE and A’ level examinations!
Yesterday, the performing arts department presented a wonderful spring showcase of Alice in Wonderland! It was fantastic to see students from across year groups shine in roles both on and off stage!
Today, we celebrated WORD (Writing, Oracy & Reading Day) with a focus on disciplinary oracy. Students had the opportunity to speak like a subject expert, explaining their ideas clearly, confidently, and with the right vocabulary to support them in every subject!
Our Year 12 Geography students visited Amersham yesterday to increase their knowledge and understanding of carbon! This included measuring the carbon storage of beech trees in a managed area. Well done to the group! #curiosity
