I got into an elevator with one other guy and he asked what floor I lived on.
I lied and said 3.
He pressed 3 too.
When the doors opened, I stepped out and just stood there pretending to look for keys.
He didn’t move.
Just stared at me from inside the elevator.
Then quietly pressed the button for 11 after the doors closed.
I waited until the elevator disappeared, then ran down the stairs to the lobby because suddenly I didn’t want him knowing which hallway I’d actually walk into. I told myself I was overreacting. Maybe he just changed his mind. Maybe 11 really was his floor.
Then the lobby security guard looked at me weird and said, “You okay?”
I asked why.
He said, “That guy’s been coming in here for three nights asking if anyone new moved into the building.”
My stomach dropped.
I stayed downstairs pretending to be on my phone for almost twenty minutes before finally going back up. I took the elevator to 8, got out, then used the stairs to reach my actual floor.
And when I turned the corner to my hallway, he was there.
Standing outside my apartment.
Just waiting to see which door I’d walk to....

fufu o😭

my mummy bought fufu powder so she can make the fufu herself, we ate once or twice, and all was well. Then we forgot about it for a while and one fateful saturday afternoon, my mother remembered she bought fufu powder😭.

That’s how we had fufu for lunch that day, and i took the largest share. It was my mummy, my sister and I. When i done eating, i entered my room and went to watch the summer i turned pretty, then i slept off. Everything was so normal😭, then i woke up in the night, feeling extremely dizzy, i could barely place who was who or where i was going to. Same thing was happening to my mummy and my sister😭. My dad had gotten home by this time.

That’s how i just fell down, and that’s when we knew it was serious. My dad rushed all of us to the hospital, we explained what happened there, all my veins had collapsed, my blood pressure had dropped so bad, my mother was already panicking cos they kept inserting the syringe in different parts of my body just to find a vein😭. They eventually found one and then we were all put on drip till the following day when we were discharged.

I was still feeling dizzy but it wasn’t so bad. I was so traumatized i didn’t eat fufu for a while after that😭
