University management are getting desperate and dirty already, making 50% salary deduction from a Head of Department for refusing to make non-unionised staff do the work of unionised staff who are participating in market boycott
🚨BREAKING NEWS: We have achieved a major victory for our members. 🚨
After a meeting with management today, we were informed that UH management will not be deducting 100% of members’ wages for taking part in the marking and assessment boycott

Our outgoing Chair @AlisonTorn does the work of 15 people. Style queen. Incredibly smart. Social justice to the max. Cares about people. Not going to be the same without you 😢
THIS ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ulster is taking ZERO deductions. Others as low as 20%. There could have been another way @LeedsTrinity . Instead, you have broken industrial relations. Something both sides worked hard for over the past 4 years. What a way to leave as @UCULeedsTrinity Chair. Broken.
Well done to @UlsterUni for showing leadership amidst the bin fire that is Higher Education.
They are not imposing deductions on staff taking part in MAB.
Hope their UCEA colleagues take heed.

@DrJoGrady Leeds Trinity: 100% if they detect you are not marking until a) you tell them you are or b) end of dispute. Self-report participation to the MAB. Chaos.
In case anyone was wondering how scared employers are of a national Marking Boycott: they’re resorting to threats and intimidations that destroy workplace relations and are proven unworkable.
We’ve got your backs, other queens! #Team100pcDeductions#ucuRISING
Hey @LeedsTrinity, we’ve spent 4 years working together for the greater good of all. We applaud our values of dignity, care, solidarity, service, respect, inclusivity. We abhor & are betrayed by your threat of 💯 % deductions, for withholding 5% of our work.
