✍️ Caicedo-Barco will be a more proactive midfield duo than any combination available in our squad at the moment. We may have to eventually trust Barco if we want a midfield that will cover a lot of space and be proactive at tracking, pressing, and being an available passing option.

Physicality is the reason Alonso is scared of trusting Barco. I understand that, especially against physical monsters like Arsenal. But he can handle the likes of Hull City.

Our lack of legs in midfield showed big time against Arsenal. You could see the difference Gusto made in that aspect when he came on. I know people are agitating everywhere that we finished with two right-backs in midfield, but Gusto delivered what we needed at that point.

But it also showed what we are lacking. If we had midfielders with the right profile, we wouldn't need to use Gusto.

It's a work in progress. The club and Alonso will keep adding what is needed bit by bit, and we will eventually get there. A top squad isn't built in one window. What we had before wasn't Alonso's squad. He's building his squad now and will need time to make it complete.

In games against a superior opponent, you just have to do everything perfectly and take your chances like we did against PSG in the CWC final. You have lower margins for errors than them. If you can do that, then you can win, but it doesn't mean you are better than them, you are just better on the day.

But if you lose, you take the positives, correct your mistakes, and keep going. You can't cry your eyes out for losing to a much more stable and superior opponent. Those are games you use to figure out your level and keep pushing to be better.

You can only be worried if you are losing to teams you should be beating. For me, there are positives to take from yesterday's game. We competed even without some key players. But we need to understand that we aren't at Arsenal’s level yet. We just have to work to get there and surpass them. That's how I see it. We need to be humble, work hard, make the right decision and keeping pushing up. With Alonso, I have no doubt that we will get there if we don't sabotage ourselves.

I want him here as long as he wants, at any cost. Under Alonso, if we continue to back him, we will become the best team in the Premier League without a doubt.

It's all about keeping our eyes on the ball, continually improving the squad, and developing tactically.

At some point, we have to accept that a good, balanced team isn't one with the most exciting, attacking players, but one that can attack and defend well. Balance.

Arsenal are hard to play against because everyone defends like mad, wingers and strikers included.

Talent isn't enough. Alonso isn't stupid. He understands the importance of balance. And like I said, Estevao and Palmer aren't beasts defensively, so we can't really carry both, and our out-of-possession play won't drop.

We have to choose between forcing Estevao into the starting XI and actually winning games. Because, at this stage, I don't see him as better than Neto or Quenda out of possession. He's still developing. If he plays for Arsenal, Arteta won't start him ahead of Saka.

We should calm down and let the boy develop properly. He will start when Palmer is unavailable. For now, I wouldn't recommend playing him ahead of Neto at RWB.
