Warmest congratulations to our immediate past secretary, Xiomy Dávila!! 🤩🎉👏 She has been inducted as one of the 2023-26 fellows for the FFAR Future Leaders for Food and Agriculture.
She will be working with UGA CAES to strengthen long-life connections with farmers, industry, government and non-academic professionals through her research on plant microbiome!

All these recent awards while she's in Austria pursuing collaborative research with Institute of Bioanalytics and Agro-Metabolomics, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU). SAPPs couldn't be more proud of you! Way to go, Lily!! 🪷🥳👏🌱
Just this month, she has been awarded to present at the recently conducted APS Plant Health 2023 for I. E. Melhus Graduate Student Symposium. She has also received a grant from the Storkan-Hanes-McCaslin Research Foundation for her work in soil-borne diseases.

Dr. Jin's lab studies RNA biology and epigenetics in plant microbial interaction, aiming to
elucidate the regulatory mechanisms of plant immunity and pathogen virulence. Her lab discovered bidirectional cross-kingdom RNAi between plants and fungal pathogens.
