100 years ago, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of U.S. independence, the Polish people presented the American people with the Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship for the United States.

These unique documents were signed by... 5.5 million Poles.

Their purpose was to acknowledge the importance of the US and gratitude for it assistance to Poland during World War I.

The collection of 111 volumes of signatures and greetings is available on the @librarycongress website.
