A really significant part of today's Budget was the commitment to ringfence & recycle revenue from the Emissions Trading Scheme. This will provide around $3bn for action to cut emissions, helping ensure our Emissions Reduction Plan later this year has the backing it needs.
Coral reefs are in crisis. We've already lost 50% in the past 20 yrs. Climate change affects corals in a number of ways, including by limiting their ability to grow. The best hope we have to address the coral reef crisis is to address the climate crisis.
