Before I die,
The entrepreneur in me,
Will build a manufacturing business once. Conquer the entire supply chain workflow and get to #1 in that one segment, across the world.
Want to learn the playbook and open to the world.
When decision making gets tough! Build powerful frameworks that collects multiple variables effecting the decision, and convert to one metric!
Then pick the top 20% which will produce 80% results.
Choose that 20% across all domains where you have to make a choice!
Say, 10 hours per Sunday of usable time. Makes it 5200 odd hours.
In your 20-30 age range, you totally have this much time!
Be it to learn new things, chase passion, travel, romance, family responsibilities, building friendship relationships and much more.
Time is ticking!
Every single time you’ve decided to let go of bad talent and haven’t, you almost always regret!
Once you realise and have thoughts on it thrice and others in team also believe the same, remove them immediately if you want to progress as org.
For any entrepreneur to progress & scale.
Across all areas,
If you find anyone doing drama. Find them. Cut off from them.
Repeat it again & again,
until you eliminate 90% of unnecessary drama.
One critical operational activity to succeed.
Ego is a contagious disease.
If one gets it, the guy next to them gets it too.
Only sustainable way to grow is by avoiding this disease, at any moment.
One of the biggest skill which unlocks infinite wealth is,
The ability to smell arbitrage, or find gaps!
All successful businessmen’s, cricketers, or anyone who has done well, is essentially because of finding arbitrage and then scaling like crazy by removing blockages!
AI COLLAPSES THE MIDDLE
I'm hearing all kinds of interesting stories about how startups are restructuring their engineering teams.
One startup (a 15 person eng team) fired 8 engineers who had 2-10 years of experience. So they are now left with 3 engineers with > 10 years of experience (who actually understand the system and know what they're doing) and 4 engineers with < 2 years of experience, who are all vibe coding.
I think every company will come to their own post-AI new normal wrt how the eng team is structured.
