For the 2021–2022 season, the Tournament of Champions will award e-Bids, for the e-TOC, to competitors in online divisions that meet the criteria below. Bids for in-person TOC divisions remain unchanged.

In 2015 the 15th seeded Baltimore City College made the finals but came up short.

Looking online you can find most of the results in policy debate from the TOC from 1995 to 2020. Do you know what the lowest seed to win policy debate was (in that time)? 7th! CK McClatchy in 2013 and McDonogh JN in 2017.

Do you know how many Congress debaters have participated in the TOC since 2013?

The answer is 854!

Do you know what school qualified the most?

The answer is Bronx Science with 47. 5% of all TOC Congress debaters!

Ridge (NJ) is in second place with 39.

Did you know Paul Skiermont and Jason Patil won the TOC for Omaha Westside in 1991 in policy debate?
Did you also know they went on to win the Copeland award in 1994 as partners at UK for the #1 ranked first round bid going into the National Debate tournament?

Gregory Bernstein from Nova won Congressional debate in 2012 and 2013. Wiilaim and Samuel Arnesen from Walt Whitman won PF in 2014 and 2015. Now you know!

Do you know the people who won a debate event at the TOC more than once? Chris Thies won LD in 2008 AND 2009. Cardinall Spellman BG and Westminster AT won policy debate in back to back years (1975 and 76 then 2010 and 2011).
