UKDSC attended the address by President Emmanuel Macron at the 2023 #GLOBSEC Bratislava Forum. He delivered a strong speech on the importance of increasing European unity, continuing support of Ukraine, as well as the need for further EU expansion.

UKDSC’s Head of Maritime, Rory O’Brien, supported Sea Air Space 2023 in Washington DC. Hosted by the Navy League of the United States and opened by the United States Under Secretary of the Navy, Erik Raven.
UKDSC visited Osborne Naval Shipyard and innovation & training facilities at Tonsley, South Australia. At the state of the art shipyard, @BAESystemsAus is building what will be among the world’s most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates, known as the Hunter class.
The UKDSC supports the release of the IRR23. Defence spending will increase by £5 billion over the next two years; £3 billion committed to nuclear enterprise (including AUKUS) and £2 billion targeted at boosting the UK’s munition stockpiles. Climate change will remain a priority.
