Just a crazy coincidence that the British press have suddenly become very sceptical about mental illness just as the government is looking to slash disability benefits I'm sure.
What Peter says is a stone-cold fact, but from the early days of the Meghan Markle abuse through the acceptance and normalisation of Boris Johnson, to Jason Arday, our mainstream broadcasters have become reliant on scandal.
It’s the aim of the game now and why places such as Byline Times and the Nerve are marginalised but have never been more necessary.
They don’t chase the clickbait that led, in part, to Jason Arday’s death. They lead the news in factual reporting; something seriously lacking in the ‘msm’.
I’ve had enough of the bullshit. Enough of the lies.
We deserve better.
Reform UK’s Leader of Nottinghamshire Council Mick Barton hates scrutiny. His council banned contact with Notts Live, then banned them from council meetings.
He thinks stifling press is one big joke.
That’s what you get with Reform UK.
It really shouldn’t come as a surprise, but some of our best defences against future wildfires is re-wetting dry areas.
In the uplands and lowlands.
It’s also very effective at preventing flooding, restoring biodiversity and carbon sequestration.

Because of a very well coordinated campaign where local communities are standing up against government facilitated big tech greed and asset grabbing. People are trying to protect their beautiful countryside from being stolen from them.
After the first drop of rain, the water companies immediately discharge human waste along our beautiful coastline.
I'm tired of this.
Why are they not in prison?

We need trees more than ever yet some people get their kicks by destroying them
We are incredibly disappointed to have arrived at Willen Lake this morning to find that senseless vandalism has taken place overnight.
Two of our young trees have been deliberately snapped and damaged, and furniture belonging to the newly opened Drift Bar & Kitchen has also been damaged.
A huge amount of time, effort and care goes into maintaining Willen Lake and making it a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy. It is heartbreaking and frustrating to see this kind of needless damage.
We are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything overnight, or who has any information about what happened, to please come forward and report it.
Please help us look after our local spaces. 🌳💚

Sicily has a four-legged early warning system for Mount Etna. It has a beard, it eats gorse, and it is beating several million euros of monitoring equipment by half a day.
The shepherds have known this for as long as anyone has kept goats on that mountain. The herd tells you. No drama about it, no bleating, no rearing up and pointing at the summit. They simply decline to go up the hill that morning, and if the goats will not go up, neither do you. Oldest volcano warning system in Europe. Costs nothing. Runs on scrub.
For most of history the scientific response to this has been a polite nod and a change of subject.
Then in 2011 a German turned up with a box of trackers.
Martin Wikelski of the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behaviour has an unfashionable habit of asking local people what they already know before deciding they are simple. He collared goats living year-round on the slopes and started logging where they went, and when, and how fast.
On 4 January 2012 the data went peculiar. The animals turned down the high pastures they use every day of their lives, all of them, and headed for the trees. The seismometers were quiet. The gas monitors were quiet. In a control room in Catania, a great deal of very expensive equipment was reporting a perfectly ordinary Wednesday.
That evening Etna started throwing lava and ash into the sky.
Six hours.
The same signature has now turned up before eight major eruptions, and at the extreme the goats move fourteen hours ahead of the mountain. Ahead of the tremor. Ahead of the gas. Ahead of everything the volcanologists are paid to watch.
Nobody knows how they do it. The best guess is sulphur dioxide and hydrogen sulphide venting beforehand at concentrations no human nose could ever find, which would mean the animals are smelling the future and declining to comment. Wikelski's own summary is that they know in advance, we have no idea how, but they do.
The institute says there is not yet enough data for a formal warning system. More eruptions, more animals, more species. Which is the correct scientific answer and a very funny one, since the shepherds reached sufficient confidence somewhere around the Bronze Age and have been acting on it every day since.
Rome had geese who saved the city by making a racket when the Gauls came over the wall, and honoured them for it every year afterwards.
Etna has their spiritual successors, doing the same job by refusing to walk uphill.
We have a word in English for a man who behaves like a goat. It means he eats anything, wrecks anything, and understands nothing.
The goat currently outperforms a seismograph.
The BBC have clearly been cancelling the Greens and their polices from the BBC1 news bulletins. But even for them this is remarkable, excluding the Greens from a discussion about...the Green Party 😲

The rector's letter to #Cofnas is public.
We can now see that he was suspended because of his open #racism and white supremacist propaganda - which are illegal under Belgium's law and under the university's code. This has nothing to do with 'whistleblowing' or 'academic freedom'
Naughty customers using Water they paid for.
Don't they know that Water is only for Data Centres and Coca-Cola to use at 1/10th of the price per litre.
They must have forgotten Water Companies are run solely for billionaires profits.
Remember when they sold us the slogan, “Go paperless, save trees, save the planet”? Now we've gone digital, and it's consuming enormous amounts of water, destroying ecosystems, harming bees, and contributing to environmental damage on a scale paper never did.
