Chilling stuff, the lovely woman we met in Krakow spoke of her home town Mariupol. Members of her friends and family would still be there, fighting on.

What we realised, though, was that there remains a massive need for supplies. Food, medical equipment, baby food. If you are inclined to do more yourself, be assured that the need is still very, very real. @OmologatoOro @BrandweerNederl

After a long day yesterday we overnighted in Brno, mainly because the Czech beer is so good and we were ready for a couple! We are now on the long trek home, just entering eastern Germany. @OmologatoOro @BrandweerNederl

Olga was coordinating, she is Ukrainian and from a village near Mariupol. She really choked up when trying to tell us how things were. Ffs!!!

She said they were still in desperate need for just three things. Medical kit, food, baby milk.

Just completed the drop. Because we had fairly specialised kit we were directed to this facility that is acting as a distribution hub.

The guys helping us were volunteers from the Dutch fire service, all great blokes. Thanks guys!. @OmologatoOro @BrandweerNederl

Just passed this convoy of state of the art fire fighting vehicles from Austria…another grim reminder of the situation, but fabulous to see the rest of Europe getting behind Ukraine. @OmologatoOro @Radio702 @CapeTalk

Night falling in Germany now, probably about an hour from the Polish border. We hope to shortly speak to @CapeTalk and @702 in South Africa to provide an update to people over there who are concerned.

Mercifully a clear run through customs and currently 250km into Europe. Passed through France, Belgium and now in the Netherlands, having just passed Antwerp. Big thanks to one of the many amazing sponsors @OmologatoOro

Just to fill people in, Wayne and Paul have been raising money and on Thursday will be Setting off to drive a van full of desperately needed medical equipment to the Ukraine border.

It has been frantic work and still is. We will update this blog as we make progress.
