On October 16, 2019, I told Donald Trump, “With you, Mr. President, all roads lead to Putin.”
On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month.
This decision insults America’s commitment to democracy and our brave men and women in uniform, as Russia helps Iran target American forces.
I join Republican senators in condemning this unconscionable capitulation to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians.
As I have asked for years: What does Putin have on Trump that he would sell out America’s values?
Imagine if Europe, in the days after 9/11, had cleared its throat and announced: We have struck a tremendous deal with Osama bin Laden. We have lifted the sanctions on his organization, so he is now free to trade on the open market and bankroll his war against the United States. Bush must step down. The man has no cards.
Has he even looked at his hand?
But no. Europe did nothing of the sort. Europe did not sit down with a mass murderer and come home gushing about what a strong and reasonable fellow he turned out to be.
Europe laced up its boots, flew to Afghanistan, stood shoulder to shoulder with the Americans and hunted that bearded wretch through every godforsaken mountain in the country, because that is what you do when a friend gets hit, and handing the attacker a shopping list while telling the victim to surrender is what you do when you have lost your mind.
@MishaMal01 russians have truly mastered the art of fabricating their own versions of history. Anything that doesn’t fit the narrative is either swept under the rug and forgotten, or twisted to make it sound more favorable.
@RL__2022@Mike_Pence Will your kind of retards ever direct their criticism toward the actual aggressor or will you keep blaming a country that is defending itself from a foreign invasion? It all gets so tiring.
Putin doesn’t want peace. Putin wants Ukraine. Enough is enough.
President Trump should rescind the diesel deal with Russia and use the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia Act to impose harsh sanctions on nations purchasing Russian energy, work with our allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Slava Ukraini🇺🇸🇺🇦
Ukraine is so incapable of winning, has so lost the war to Russia long ago, is so completely doomed and has had absolutely no chances, that even the President of the United States is now bending over backwards to save Russia's oil economy from Ukrainian strikes, while corrupt fringe populists across Europe are howling in unison demanding that Ukraine finally be cut off from aid -- because here we are, nearing the end of the fifth year of Putin's glorious three-day blitzkrieg to capture Kyiv, and the great, invincible Russia is still banging its head against a wall trying to take the little town of Lyman in Ukraine's Donbas.
By the way, what's all this hysterical fuss about if Ukraine has already lost everything and is going to be taken over soon anyway?
Russian media is now in a 24/7 state of ridiculing Trump for being stupid enough to fall for Putin's fake diesel deal that served only to con Trump into blocking Ukraine's strikes on the Russian oil industry.
A simple act of Russia's long-famous practice of reflexive control - getting your opponent to do the thing that hurts them. No different than Brexit or electing Trump twice.
@MedvedevRussiaE Who are you as a failed ex-president to refer to other people by "it"? You and your kind are the lowest form of life to ever walk this earth.
Hillary Clinton was right about Trump. Kamala Harris was right about Trump. It's a shame that the highest political office in the world, the presidency of the United States, is being held hostage by the kremlin.
Trump: "Putin has no respect for this person."
Clinton: "That's because he'd rather have a puppet as president of the United States. You're willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants to do."
October 19, 2016. She was right.
