Travelling Bilburys

We tweet about strolling, walking and hiking. Whatever you want to call it, it’s outdoors and lovely.

@RoyalMailHelp can you help, the postie collected 3 parcels from my home about an hour ago but I've just received an email saying 'we're sorry we were unable to collect your parcels'. They were some high value parcels too...

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

@JordanJaunt Hmmm yeah. That sounds a bit rough. Good luck 😉

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

@JordanJaunt As long as you really have got decent waterproofs you’ll be grand. I really like hiking in the rain. A lot less people around and the feeling of that shower at the end of day... amazing. However if you’re camping, um, Bon chance

@UKLyme we’ve been asked for help on this bite pattern. Does your community have any ideas?

So sad. Our entire swallows nest has fallen and there are 4 dead chicks by the car. That poor mumma.

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

How did the weather report get it so wrong today? We had our waterproofs, thankfully, but plenty of people in just t-shirts hiding under trees. #Sun #Rain #Sleet

15 miles on @ThamesPathNT today, first trip on it since the dreaded flooding. Gorgeous to be back by the river (Culham to Oxford). #hiking #ThamesPath #GetOutdoors

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

@EnvAgency Hi @EnvAgency would you mind if I embed this tweet on a blog post I am writing for university about where to check before you go hiking? 😀🥾

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind...

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

@woof_boo So so sorry for your loss. We’re struggling through it now too and it’s just awful. Sending love 🌈

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

What packing tip would you give hiking newbies?

Mine is to take blister plasters 😂

[Travelling Bilburys @UKstrolling]

Humid strolling today 😓
