All-female execution team
Given the rarity of the execution of a female prisoner, Tennessee corrections officials said they would make an effort to fulfill certain requests made by Pike. They included using female guards when she was moved from her all-women’s prison in Nashville to the nearby Riverbend Maximum Security Institution within 24 hours of her planned execution. An all-female execution team may also be assigned.
At least one exception was expected to be a male physician who was involved in Carruthers’ failed execution earlier this year. Dr. Mark Walton Fowler told NBC News that he intended to participate in Pike’s execution. Fowler declined to comment after Pike’s failed execution Wednesday night.

A failed execution is no reason to stay an execution warrant.
It is a reason to change the procedure/doctor/dosage/method.
Christa Pike brutally murdered a 19 year old girl.
She crushed her skull and kept part of it as a souvenir.
She has earned her suffering and death.
🚨 OMG- MEDIA WITNESS: AMBULANCE LEFT CHRISTA PIKE’S EXECUTION WITH SIRENS ON — “WE CAN PRESUME THERE WAS SOMEBODY ALIVE IN THAT, BUT WE DON’T KNOW”
“This is pretty unprecedented. None of it should have happened, and it wasn’t planned for. It made it really hard for the prison system to navigate, and it made it hard for us to understand what was going on.”
“Of course, we got out here, and then you all saw the ambulance going away with sirens, so we can presume that there was somebody alive in that, but we don’t know.”
@ginamilan_ She may never become conscious, r ventilationed or brain function.
That much barbitutates not likely will she either live or function.
I read up on that stuff it is lethal if the right doses were given.
In 1995, Christa Gail Pike, her boyfriend, and another monster lured into the woods 19-year-old Job Corps classmate Colleen Slemmer, tortured her for 30 minutes, carved a pentagram into her chest, murdered her, and stole a piece of her skull as a souvenir.
In 1996, Pike got convicted and sentenced to death.
While in prison, in 2001, Pike got convicted again for attempted first-degree murder of another prisoner, who she attempted to strangle with a shoestring.
(A swift execution after her 1996 death sentence would have prevented this.)
Pike exhausted her appeals.
On the eve of her execution, Democrat U.S. Circuit Judges Karen Moore (Clinton) and Jane Stranch (Obama) attempted to play b-list heroines and halt the execution—naturally, for bogus reasons.
Over the pathetic, partisan whining of 3 more Democrat women, this time on the Supreme Court, the 6 Republican-appointed justices ruled the execution can go forward.
These 5 Democrat women judges should resign and run for elective office, if they don’t like the death penalty.
In the meantime, let’s have these gals try to rule with logic instead of emotion next time.
The average new home in California is subject to $200K in government fees and regulations — RIDICULOUS.
I’m capping that at $50K and building housing in communities that want it.
Just an embarrassing ignorance of civics. Only Congress can authorize this. The Feds have already doled out over $6B in aid. President Biden was in office when the fires hit. Why didn’t he give us $30B? Cuz there’s not $30B sitting in an executive account that can be doled out on a whim. That number is what Newsom is requesting from CONGRESS. Becerra doesn’t even know what branch of government does what.
