Speaking on Sunday’s episode of The Grand Standoff: Iran and the World, Professor Mohammad Marandi said Iran has information indicating that a major assault on the country could be imminent, adding that the Iranian Armed Forces are on full alert.

He also said that the United States has five options: accepting the memorandum of understanding, walking away from it, or continuing along the course it has pursued over the past few weeks.

The remaining two options, he said, would involve expanding the war. One would be a limited expansion, in which Iran would “strike back hard,” while the final option would be for the United States to target Iran’s infrastructure, which means that Iran "will destroy the infrastructure of regimes that are aligned to the United States and that are complicit in this war."
