We citizens are made to run from pillar to post to save our environment, in addition to paying high taxes.

We all are already struggling for green cover and urban heat island effect is increasing year after year. ♨️

Our administration must take every possible measure to protect trees and public green places that we are left with.

It’s high time, #PMC should take care of all regulations on their own, there should be no need for the courts to instruct them what to do.

You’ve spent
20,000 crore.
Gifted us 7 years of traffic jams.
& the output is 14 kms of metro rail.
All of it disjointed and in broken parts.

Sheer fiscal profligacy.

I was 39 in 2016 I’m 46 going on 47 now.

When will Pune get a doable metro rail
When I’m 60 years old ?

Blatant time wasting.

So far all I can see is novelty toy trains on routes which are already covered with great public transportation in fact PCMC has both local train & bus options which connect PMC with it.

Where has the metro given relief to traffic issues. Never mind that in its broken down avatar PMPML ferries over 1 million people every day. Imagine what a high quality bus transit system can do.

The metro can keep coming. Just like kingdom come.

Where do you dream up these numbers ?

The total length of all the rivers

Mula origin Mulshi
Mutha origin Khadakwasla
Pawana origin Pawana

Until final destination Ujani Dam (Pune’s septic tank)

is 373 kilometres.

They (rivers) carry only sewage and not much else. Dams do not release much water into the rivers because they supply our twin cities with water.

Pune PMC alone draws 173 crore litres of water per day, from khadakwasla. Via Closed pipeline. Not a drop gets released into the Mutha river.

Not over yet, read on:

160 crore litres of sewage both treated & untreated (mostly raw) then gets dumped into the mula mutha.

And, I’m supposed to believe that the bureaucracy in the PMC after spending lakhs of crores of taxpayer money (10,000 crore per annum) which can’t fix potholes, garbage, traffic, pollution or sewage is going to fix the river magically.

You must be smoking something good.
