The training included both theoretical and practical sessions, aiming to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills in safe handling of R290 refrigerants.
It covered various topics such as the latest developments in the Montreal Protocol, safety protocols for HCs.

UNARA with support of GIZ under GCI III carried out Training of Technicians on R290(HC) fridges Installation, Troubleshooting and Servicing. The training took place at Renewal Energy Training Center at Nakawa Vocational Training College from 15th to 19th July 2024.

The GCI III training program on R290 Fridges Installation, Troubleshooting, and Servicing was an intensive 5-day course which was attended by technicians, trainers and policy makers with participants from MEMD, NVTC, and RAC service sectors.

The goal of this training was to equip participants with the concept of best practices in the RAC sector to be eligible for certification as stipulated in the National Environment (Management of Ozone Depleting Substances and Products) Regulations, 2020.

Training of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Practitioners on RAC best practices successfully carried out at Amelo Technical Institute in West Nile Region between 15th to 26th January 2024. Over 97 RAC practitioners were trained recorded as a Region with the highest turnup.
