so pretty much this is the definitive list to target between Fusion World (FW) and Masters for Dragon Ball cards π
If you are able to hold these for multiple years as the manga continues and new anime releases, while FW continues growing it could be a 10-100x.
Real comps say these already moved past $20.
Gold E01-01 Goku raw sells $40 to $85 right now. PSA10 clears $150. E01-03 Broly PSA10 hits $200 and a BGS10 just sold $250. Broly graded actually clears more than Goku graded even though Goku wins raw. Character premium is not one direction inside this set. Price each number separately instead of the whole run as one line.
One trap worth flagging before anyone buys in: a plain Foil E01 marker sells for $3 to $4. That is a different tier than the Gold Alt Art version this whole thesis is built on. Confirm Gold or you are pricing the wrong card.
The bigger gap sits above the entry tier. The higher end of these markers (Deluxe sets and Finals-tier Black Labels) is asking $4000 to $5000 right now with zero visible sold comps behind the ask. A real serialized prize card like a GDR has ten or more verified sales to price against. An unsold ask is not a market.
Supply is the weakest part of the whole case. The estimate of well under 3000 total copies comes from graded population of 400 to 600. Low graded pop only tells you how many people bothered submitting. It does not tell you how many actually exist.
Energy Marker Pack 01 was not a single-winner prize like a serialized GDR. It was won across officially sanctioned store events throughout an entire season. Two cards per pack. That is a season-long participation prize spread across many events. Not one copy per event. The true population is unknown. A graded-pop extrapolation understates it by definition. Most owners never submit.
None of this means the cards are bad. Iβve reviewed a lot of these cards considering them myself on the higher price tiers, but price discovery is too thin. The top tier is asking on hope not tape. The supply number is a guess. That is why closed-supply prize cards make the better target right now. Good collectibles either way. Different risk profile.
Full tier list attached. Ranked S down to D by mechanism strength not hype. Every card in it is its own verified PSA 10 sale if curious.
I have agents collecting & analyzing data on Dragon Ball cards across the market to understand momentum.
Helps me grab cards before the market fully realizes where a card is going. Pretty cool little dashboard I'll keep adding to
3-5 year thesis with Dragon Ball cards. Just buy and sit. Too much coming with Fusion World momentum, anime dropping, and more manga that will be released at some point.
Equivalents of Pokemon:
Zard -> Awakened Power (TB01-097)
Pikachu -> Kid Goku
Buy and chill.
DO NOT sleep on these 3 cards
1. Vegeta GDR
2. UI Goku GDR
3. Awakened Power
Yes FW is running from hype, but these are iconic and true GRAILS. They have high floors and high ceilings from economics. They'll keep going up, supply is practically locked in.
All Dragon Ball collectors should aim to collect the Vegeta, Unbridled Power, God Rare (GDR).
Pretty simple.
1. A main character in DB & most beloved by many (Vegeta > Goku from character dev). Major arc and continued relevance with ultra ego
2. The first GDR & his only GDR
3. GDRβs are extremely rare, one in every ~3 cases meaning ~36 boxes.
4. a box costs $250-300 giving it a strong floor and supply is closed
5. People are only opening boxes to find the GDR or keeping sealed boxes at this point limiting more supply entering the market
$250 * 36 = $9,000.00
Thats what it costs to find an Unbridled Power GDR right now.
Easy buy & hold. High floor & high ceiling.
If you ever want to collect Dragon Ball Super Masters TCG, this card is definitely a must have!
β’ first ever god rare
β’ for the low 2k π
i know thereβs other stuff like serial cards and regional prize cards but i can definitely see value in this card being the first ever GDR
