1.“What holds water to a globe?”
Gravity. “Down” is toward Earth’s center everywhere on the planet. Oceans settle along that gravitational surface (sea level). If gravity couldn’t hold water, it couldn’t hold air either—but we clearly have an atmosphere.
2.“How is there air if space has none?”
Gravity holds the atmosphere just like it holds the oceans. Gas pressure gradually decreases with altitude until it becomes extremely thin. Space isn’t “anti-air”—it’s just very empty.

It does. You see light only when it scatters off matter. Space is mostly empty, so there’s little to scatter sunlight toward your eyes. That’s why astronauts see a bright Sun but a black sky.
