Parents and Players:
NCAA D1 programs start their games today or tomorrow. Hopefully the schools that you are interested in, you are watching them compete.

Just note. There are 350 Women’s Soccer Programs at the D1 level. That’s about 9800 players.
You are competing GLOBALLY against other student-athletes both one’s entering the transfer portal and one’s that are going to be incoming freshman. Not every program is looking for every position each year. There are limited roster spots and now 5 years of eligibility.

Why would you limit yourself to only D1 and not look at other divisions?
There are great schools and programs at all levels.

Make sure you have reviewed the school and athletics.
The staff and their record/stats.
Your academic and athletic profile.

Have questions ready to ask the coaches.
Can you speak with a player and see how the transition went for them?

After your initial email to a college coach have you followed up with them?
Coaches get tons of emails everyday. Don't just send one and wait, reach out again.
Show them you are interested.

When first sending an email to coaches remember to have:
- Your Full Name
- Grad Year & Position
- High School & Club Team
- GPA & Test Scores
- Academic Achievements & Athletic Stats
- Highlight Film
- Upcoming Schedule
- Coaches Contact Info

Make sure the school has what you’re looking to study (if you know) and add that to the email, as well.

College soccer preseason is just around the corner. Are you ready?
Fitness testing. Weightlifting. Multiple training sessions. Film breakdowns. High expectations.
The work begins long before the first whistle of preseason.
If you committed to your development this summer, you'll be prepared to compete. If you didn't, preseason can be a tough reality check.
