Amazing when the disruptor becomes the very thing it is trying to disrupt, or even worse, an inferior offering.
19 days and counting to open an Airwallex account for a small business. @NAB has been quicker and easier to open a business account.
@RevolutApp 1, @airwallex 0
Over a week to open a new business account at @airwallex, even after confirming all required information provided.
@RevolutApp it is for our business.
@Tyro Unbelievably, it has taken almost two weeks to change account signatories for a small business. Unable to pay business expenses as a result.
At this rate, it is quicker to open a new account with @ZellerAustralia.
No wonder @Tyro's share price is down almost 70%
You don’t win by trying not to lose.
You win by taking risks, saying what you think, and working towards it even if many knee-jerk disagree—and in the end proving it right. Then you win.
Professional culture is about trying not to lose. Founder culture is about winning.
When investing in AUS companies, I typically look for: (1) Growth industry with long term runway, even if niche (2) Quality mgmt team with equity alignment (founder as major S/H is a +) (3) Global customer base (4) Proprietary competitive adv. $DUG at $1.21 ticks lots of boxes
Potentially overvalued, but there may never be a perfect time to invest! Learnt my lesson with $AMZN. $SPOT will be the dominant leader in audio, lot's of runway ahead for Ad rev on the freemium model and it's only the beginning for the podcast medium. BUY @$252
$NTD is a BUY. T4U will be a transformational acquisition. Synergies are huge. Will become the leading independent tyre wholesaler in Australia across multiple segments - 4WD, Agri, Truck and Bus. Will take some time to integrate, but post merger opportunities are huge.
A common theme coming out of COVID: “ACCELERATION”. The restrictions have brought forward technology trends by 3-5 years. E-Commerce, online education and data consumption have a long runway ahead - 15-30 year trend.
