@ilovemyself3001@BuzzingPop How do you know this? Unless someone explicitly say they are heterosexual, never assume they are. As far as I know, he said his sexuality was nobody's business.
Code of Misconduct was just released in the US on Prime Video. I sat down and made myself watch it. Knowing it would upset me. Knowing the outcome of the trial and how corrupt it all became.
I encourage every person to watch this documentary with an objective heart.
While I could spend many words detailing how protected these players were (hockey Canada having funds set aside just to get players out of sexual assault charges should be talked about WAY more) and how backwards this case became, ultimately, all I will say is that this documentary brings to light far more than just this one specific trial and why it’s important this sort of abusive culture is talked about and changed. And that’s ultimately the point, isn’t it?
While I’m left feeling just as angry as I knew I would be, I’m also left feeling thankful for every hockey player, journalist, detective, survivor, lawyer, team owner etc who were a part of this documentary and publicly spoke out about the enormous level of toxicity, sense of moral invulnerability, peer pressure and excuses that exist within hockey culture.
Thank you @rwesthead for being the sort of journalist this world needs. And thank you Sébastien Trahan for making this documentary.
In the words of prosecutor Me Michel Bérube, “once consent is withdrawn, sexual activity must stop. Again, there is nothing complicated about this. It’s actually quite simple.”
And it IS that cut and dry, and always will be.
Javier Bardem speaks out in #Cannes on toxic masculinity:
"That problem also goes to Trump, Putin and Netanyahu... the big balls man saying 'my cock is bigger than yours and I'm going to bomb the shit out of you' is a f*cking male toxic behavior that is creating thousands of dead people."

My first venture into this app, then called Twitter, was after the announcement of #Outlander being made into a tv show. It was 12 years ago. To all the fans met through this app, the friendship made, the travels, happy finale! It's a bittersweet moment but what an adventure!!
@lizziethat They could do Scott and Kip Christmas as a stand alone special. But in the main series, I do agree with you, I doubt we'll get a whole episode of them. The ones we'll see are Troy and Harris, this was confirmed...I would really like Fabian and Ryan there too...

@mushabooooms He said writing Shane was tricky for him, and it would be tricky for most. A good director will let his actor do his thing and will work around it, even when he doesn't see the appeal at first. He said he realized after, while watching the rush and editing, that H was right.
