Options trading isn’t just about direction—it’s about understanding the mechanics. Here’s what to look for when buying a contract:

🔍 Key Contract Details

🔹 Ticker & Strike Price
Example: $NVDA $185C = Call option on NVIDIA with a $185 strike.
This tells you the stock and the price level you're betting on.

🔹 Expiration Date
This is your deadline. The closer it is, the faster time decay hits (see Theta).
Short-dated contracts = faster moves, but more risk.

🔹 Premium (Ask Price)
What you’ll pay per contract. Multiply by 100.
$2.00 = $200 per contract.

🔹 Open Interest & Volume
Liquidity matters.
- OI > 1,000 = good liquidity
- Volume > 500 = active contract
