She just asked if she could sit for a minute because she “didn’t want to cry where her husband could see.”

She’s 7 months pregnant.

Her husband recently lost his job. Rent is overdue. Hospital bills are already piling up before the baby is even born.
While she was sitting there, she kept rubbing her belly and smiling.

I asked her how she’s still able to smile through all this.
