i want to try and organize something to counter act the obnoxious trump parades. but something that doesn’t slow traffic or make ppl scared for their lives. i was thinking something like a unity parade.
Nobody should have to wait 11 hours to vote, but we’re all grateful that you—and all those in line with you—stuck it out. Keep making your voices heard, everybody. Our democracy depends on it.
I’m tired of Black voices being weaponized. I don’t need white folks offering me MLK’s words to police my tone. Don’t quote to me how Maya Angelou said, despite it all, “Still I rise.” Cause as we face the #BreonnaTaylor injustice, my rage is righteous.
Still. I. Rage. —Zandra

Today we are blacking our society. We have power, but we need to understand what that power is and how we can use it.
TAKE A STANCE. USE YOUR POWER.
We are no longer capable to stand still, to stay silent, to be passive, to do nothing at all.
We have to stay moving, to speak up, to be active, to always act.

This Thursday we had a family friendly march event. At the event we were all able to make pledges about how they would do their part to actively fight against racism and police brutality.
What pledge do you make, to fight against racism and police brutality?
Today is our independence. Today is the day we felt that maybe we would be actually made equal. Today is a day of celebration. Today is a day we remember what our ancestors fought for. Today is Juneteenth.
