One of the defining symbols of the 20th century, the Berlin Wall divided a city for nearly three decades. This new exhibition from the producers of Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away brings that history to life through immersive storytelling, original sections of the Berlin Wall, more than 200 rare artifacts, and personal testimonies from both sides of the Wall.
Experience life on the front line of the Cold War and stand face-to-face with the Wall that divided the world.
On select dates, visitors can also meet retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Karl Zetmeir, who served with the Berlin Brigade as a Military Police Soldier during the Cold War.
Stationed in West Berlin from 1979–1982, Karl witnessed daily life in a divided city at the center of East-West tensions. He will share personal stories from his time in Berlin and offer insights into the military's role in protecting freedom during one of history's most pivotal periods.
