The next day was quite a different day. Instead of being hot and sunny, it was cold and misty. Pooh didn’t mind for himself, but when he thought of all the honey the bees wouldn’t be making, a cold and misty day always made him feel sorry for them. ~A.A.Milne #fridaymorning
@KatieMagnet My mum often thought I was her sister (she didn’t have one), her mother, her aunt, her friend but very rarely her daughter. I gave up trying to correct her when I realised that to her it was reality and I was upsetting and confusing her.
“Help, help!” cried Piglet, “a Heffalump, a Horrible Heffalump!” and he scampered off as hard as he could, still crying out, “Help, help, a Herrible Hoffalump! Hoff, Hoff, a Hellible Horralump! Holl, Holl, a Hoffable Hellerump!” ~A.A.Milne #Halloween2022
“Most of us have small, sad places in our hearts. My father felt deeply but kept his feelings to himself. Or rather, being a writer, he let them escape in his writing. And so such sadnesses as there were put on cap and bells and emerged as Eeyore.”~C.R.Milne #WorldMentalHealthDay
“I can face the winter with calm. Crisp and sparkling days, long pleasant evenings, cheery fires. Good work shall be done this winter. Life shall be lived well. The end of the summer is not the end of the world. Here’s to October.” ~A.A.Milne #nature
“It is the little close-up things that a child sees most clearly. I remember daisies, wild daisies, not white as they seem to be to grown-ups, but pink; and I have only to pick one now and turn it over to see again the daisies of my childhood.” ~C.R.Milne #SaturdayMotivation
They all went home again. And I think, but I am not quite sure, that Roo had a hot bath and went straight to bed. But Pooh went back to his own house, and feeling very proud of what he had done, had a little something to revive himself. ~A.A.Milne #TimeForALittleSomething
The thief who took my bag yesterday.
Does anyone know who he is.
My passport, visa and my working phone and over £10,000 of property were stolen.
Please help me @metpoliceuk#london
They were all playing Poohsticks together. They had dropped their sticks in when Rabbit said “Go!” and then they had hurried across to the other side of the bridge, and now they were all leaning over the edge, waiting to see whose stick would come out first. ~A.A.Milne
Pooh wiped his mouth with the back of his paw, and sang rather a fluffy song through the fur.
Coming through pale fawn fluff at half-past eleven on a very sunny morning, it seemed to Pooh to be one of the best songs he had ever sung. So he went on singing it. ~A.A.Milne #sunny
“Dear, dear,” said Pooh, “I didn’t know it was as late as that. Lucky I brought this with me. Many a bear going out on a warm day like this would never have thought of bringing a little something.” And he began to eat. Then he remembered. He had eaten Eeyore’s present! ~A.A.Milne
