Feels like everything seems to have to be polar opposites nowadays. No, THERE IS a middle ground, a ground where you can see BOTH sides. You can see the negatives but you can also see the positives so you stay patient because you really believe some things take time to fix.

Every time I post something positive about Manchester United’s rebuild, the same replies appear:

“INEOS have brainwashed you.”

“How long is this rebuild going to take?”

“Where is the ambition?”

“Why aren't they spending like oil-rich clubs?”

So let me make my position very clear.

I am not an INEOS supporter.

I supported the idea of the Glazers leaving because their ownership damaged this football club for years.

But I also refuse to become so emotionally attached to that opinion that I cannot acknowledge when INEOS are making good decisions.

If they get something right, I’ll say it.

If they get something wrong, I’ll call it out.

Simple.

The football side of Manchester United needed more than another transfer window of expensive names.

It needed a structure.

It needed recruitment profiles.

It needed wage control.

It needed better decision-making.

It needed an actual football operation.

INEOS have told us what the long-term objective is: Project 2028.

The least we can do is judge the process properly instead of demanding a miracle every summer.

And yes, mistakes have already been made.

Hiring people and later moving them on.

Making uncomfortable managerial decisions.

Changing direction.

Some of those decisions deserve criticism.

But rebuilding a club this dysfunctional was never going to be a straight line.

The biggest problem is that some fans have already decided that nothing the club does can possibly be right.

That's not analysis.

That's emotion.

As for “how long will the rebuild take?”

It started the moment INEOS took control of the football operation. You should begin judging them from when they took over 100%.

You cannot spend years creating a rotten structure, accumulate huge wages, make poor recruitment decisions and then expect someone to fix everything in one transfer window.

We keep looking at clubs like Manchester City and asking why United can't do the same thing overnight.

But City didn't inherit the exact same problems United are trying to fix.

And look at PSG.

They had the superstars, the money and the biggest names.

It still didn't automatically give them what they wanted in Europe.

Eventually, they had to build a proper team and structure around the talent.

That's the point.

I don't want INEOS to perform miracles.

I want them to build something that actually works.

If they succeed, I'll back them.

If they fail, I'll be one of the first to call them out.

But I'm not going to demand a transformation in one window simply because our rivals are rebuilding at the same time.

I want Manchester United rebuilt properly, not rebuilt quickly.

There is a difference.
