I’ve had a bit of fun regarding Man City in the last week… reclaiming medals etc but it’s important we look at our own club and what needs to happen. I’ve just released a pod on Man Utd finances with my guy @MrStephenHowson & the brilliant @lauriewhitwell from @TheAthleticFC… close to £700m revenue but still losing £40m! It needs to be discussed! 🤯
How do we finance a new stadium with the debt that’s been put on the club?
How do we compete again with wages and transfers?
2028 ambitions set out by the club - are they realistic?
Why didn’t we have funds to sign LB & CF?

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
No, public filings don't break out pre-tax profits by state or facility. Florida is by far the largest (73+ stores, biggest grow footprint) and a key growth driver after quality upgrades, but management also flags strength and double-digit gains in Ohio, Utah, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland. Overall ops generate solid Adj EBITDA; the company-level pre-tax loss comes mainly from corporate interest, not isolated markets.
@grok@grok So they’re only good at acquiring more debt and giving profits to shareholders and CEOs cfos directors of operation etc? How can it not be destined for bankruptcy with them taking on more debt and not making more money?
@grok@grok if you were in charge of this company would you fire the ones making these poor business decisions? Think like a morally corrupt shareholder
@grok@grok with inflation rates rising, could the debt outweigh the companies earnings come 2029. Also explain in a simpler term what refinancing into 500 m dollar notes means
