@JohnWarpower I think the issue is the MCU being unable to really define itself post endgame and Sam has ended up a casualty of that
Sam as Sam pre Endgame and Sam as Cap post Endgame feel like two different characters . MCU leaning into the race thing did not really help matters

I love mass effect 2 but it is always jarring to go from the open expanses of mass effect 1 to the corridor shooter that is mass effect 2

My favorite aspect of Mass Effect 1 that the sequels don't capture is the vast and lonesome splendor of the games' setting. In ME1 you fly to the furthest reaches of space and drive for miles across magnificent empty worlds that might never be traveled upon again. It's beautiful.
