MSP cruiser in pursuit on RT24 Northbound for a vehicle traveling at speeds in excess of 110 MPH. Only description was a sedan. Trooper lost the vehicle when it exited at 31 B. Pursuit has been terminated per MSP SOPs and sergeant's orders.
BROCKTON, MA - per MSP Troopers, there are approximately 150+ vehicles in the parking lot at Westgate Mall. Many fled when the Troopers entered the area, and there were at least two failures to stop (one silver BMW X5 SUV with UNK GA Plates and one unknown sedan, possibly also a BMW). In adherence to and alignment with MSP policy, pursuits were not initiated on either vehicle, as wants were solely for vehicle & traffic code violations, and a pursuit would pose a greater hazard to all citizens than taking no action whatsoever.
This bill is utterly disgraceful.
In 2024, we the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts voted and passed a ballot initiative to have an audit completed exactly as it was specified in the voting literature.
And now, the subjects/targets of said audit have simply & arbitrarily changed the parameters as they see fit? "Narrowing the scope" of the audit?! Seriously, even though it's likely to stay incomplete, this audit has done its job and should tell EVERYONE exactly what's going on in that state house. There's no confusion about what's happening when they delay and delay, then restrict and restrict. It's called CORRUPTION.
If the IRS audits my tax returns, can I do the same as our gov leaders?
When Massachusetts Democratic lawmakers vote alongside the dwindling number of Republican or conservative colleagues on a somewhat controversial bill, it signals a major problem - either with the bill itself or the process by which it's being introduced, considered, or passed.

These electric bicycles and scooters with lithium batteries, whether they use Chinese-made cells or are fully made and assembled in China, are a big problem. You rarely see cells made in other countries (Japan, Malaysia, etc.) have these failure rates. They're a risk to both firefighters and civilian owners.
ALWAYS charge lithium cells (especially large cells made for electric scooters or other electric propulsion devices) on a non-flammable surface and in an area with mostly non-flammable contents. Clear anything flammable in a radius of at least 5 feet (preferably 10'+) around the charger. The best policy is to supervise all charging. At least, make sure you're at home when charging and periodically check on the pack. If it's hot to the touch, unplug the charger and follow the manufacturer's instructions. If the pack ignites or you are concerned about a runaway thermal event, call 911 immediately.

The second juvenile has been taken into custody. He was located attempting to enter his house nearby. PD is requesting EMS to the scene as the subject is covered in cuts and bleeding from running through briars in the woods.
I speak from experience - those things are deadly. One time, during a prescribed burn, a vine hooked my pack while I was conducting ignitions (walking through the woods with a torch). I was stopped dead in my tracks and pulled back. All 165 pounds of me, plus at least 40 pounds of gear, walking at a brisk pace, couldn't break free. Had to bust out a knife and cut myself free. My legs were covered in cuts. The thorns went right through my Kevlar pants.
Plymouth MA - Search for Fleeing Juvenile Subjects - For the second time tonight, Plymouth PD units are pursuing a juvenile on foot in the woods. This time two juveniles were spotted by a security guard trespassing and possibly attempting to enter a building on the Plymouth Plantation property off Warren Ave. One juvenile has been taken into custody, but a second is still at large, possibly in the woods to the northeast of the property heading towards Warren Ave. MSP Airwing has been requested and is paging out for the duty crew.
Plymouth MA - Plymouth PD and MSP w/airwing are pursuing two juveniles on foot along RT3 and Long Pond Rd who cut their ankle monitors off and attempted a carjacking. Airwing has sight of both subjects.

Sandwich, MA - 185 Cotuit Rd. - Peter's Pond Campground - Working Fire - Companies on scene of three large campers/RVs (30ft+) heavily involved in fire. Fire has also extended to four sheds. Unfortunately it appears the shower has lost some of its coverage. The fire area will still likely experience some precip, but it may not be wetting enough to fully extinguish the fire. The gusty and erratic winds may pose more of a problem than the rain helps.

A thunderstorm/heavy convective shower is approaching the fire area. Expect gusty and erratic winds along with 0.25" or more of precipitation. As long as any control lines hold and the area is wetted down by the rain, this should help with extinguishing the fire.
New Bedford - W Rodney French Blvd - New Bedford West Beaches/400 N & S Beaches - NBPD requesting assistance from MSP for approx 30 teenage individuals involved in a fist-fight on the beach. Multiple MSP cruisers en route. PD reports W Rodney @ Douglas St, one individual involved is unconscious, NBEMS and NBFD en route.
