The reason you don’t know about African history and how cool and advanced a lot of the kingdoms and empires were is because Europeans used to burn anything that went against their view of what “primitives” were supposed to be.

They’d literally walk into a kingdom all like, “wow, this is noiceeee…”

Then they’d loot its treasures and burn it to the ground. And then, they’d literally ruin the careers of any archeologists who tried to point out the truth. They did this well into the 1980s.
