The Native American genetic markers that they test for are neither universal in nor exclusive to Native people. DNA tests can only show a probability of Native ancestry. As you said, learn your science.

Her claim that she’s Native is based on her claim that she is Apache. If her DNA test & genealogy don’t prove she’s Apache and the Apache don’t claim her, what’s left?

That’s the definition used by the NCAI, the largest, most representative body of Native people in the country. That’s the definition used by the US government when deciding cases relating to ICWA or IACA.
