🌾Great seminar at GFAR by Prof. Sahara (our long-term collaborator, IPB University & @UniofAdelaide alum) on 🇮🇩 agri-food policies & how Trump-era tariffs may impact trade, food security & rural livelihoods. Thanks for the insights! 🙌 #AgriFoodPolicy#Indonesia#GFAR2025
The visit is a key step in finalising the project and kickstarting the early stages of the new research project. It lays the foundation for continued collaboration to support agricultural development and enhance food and nutrition security in Timor-Leste.
We also introduce and discuss a new ACIAR-funded research project: Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security through an Improved Understanding of Farming Households and Value Chains in Timor-Leste.
🌱 The visit provided the research team an opportunity to share early results and gather valuable feedback from government representatives, particularly from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF), as well as development partners and other stakeholders.
