A worldwide study demonstrated that 34% of infections in cirrhosis are caused by multidrug resistant bacteria (MRB) https://t.co/IoBjd0CZfD. These infections cause more frequently ALCF and death. Local antibiotic policies to reduce the rate of MRB are mandatory.
Important study from France (https://t.co/sDlRYwl1hx) revealed that the apparent increase in HCC incidence in cirrhotics treated with DAAs compared with IFN therapy is explained by patient characteristics (age, diabetes, liver function) and less screening.
