She was pushing her luck. The usually emotionless Upper Moon was now clenching his jaw, his upper lip twitching with irritation. She was pushing all the right buttons if she was wanting to get under his skin, --
Her touch withdrew, eyes flickering in the dark to the black horizon, yielding beneath the first blade of daybreak.
“After all, how do you expect to conquer 𝐷𝐸𝐴𝑇𝐻. . .” Her eyes flickering back to his.
“When you can’t even conquer the 𝑺𝑼𝑵?”
-- one of his hands going to his sword so tempted to draw it and cut her down.
"You.. should learn when.. to hold your tongue.."
He growled. He didn't pull away from her, didn't show any signs of backing down. He stared down at her, all six eyes locked onto her crimson ones. --
-- and was already disappointing him. He would have to deal with him later.
"You will not.. survive against me.. And I will not.. turn you.. So this is your last chance.. Leave..."
"You will find.. that I am not so easy.. to crush.. He was turned recently.. He has not yet.. fully developed his abilities.."
He stated. That doesn't mean he wasn't angry at Kaiguku for being defeated so easily. He just gained the title of Upper Six --
"You may fight me.. but you will find.. that it will be your last..."
He growled, watching her. She had irritated him and was now taunting him. He was already annoyed and this interaction was only piling onto the emotions he attempted to keep suppressed.
“What a blind sentiment for a demon of six eyes.” The woman’s voice, smooth as velvet, concealed a blade’s edge — a warning.
“The last demon I fought carried the same sentiment. . . I left him scorching in a crater.”
After another moment of silence he was finally speaking.
"I thought.. you did not feel as though you could.. be around me..."
He glanced over at her once more.
