Genuine question, how many teams have lost to an unranked team as a top 10 and beat a top ten ranked team while unranked in a season? Bonus points if you can find one that was a week separated
Can we talk about Iowa being a good football team? Their two losses are to 2 top 15* teams and by a combined 8** points.
*Assuming Iowa St moves to 15 or better after ap poll drops
**I know Indiana had that idea intentional safety but it wasn’t really needed
Games that would have been better to go to:
9 Illinois @ 19 Indiana
Tulane @ 13 Ole Miss
SMU @ TCU
22 Auburn @ 11 Oklahoma
17 Texas Tech @ 16 Utah
21 Michigan @ Nebraska
Mind blowingly bad decision by Gameday.
One thing that really pisses me off are the people saying “Texas should be lower because they’ve struggled vs poor opponents” and “Notre Dame hasn’t won a game, they should be unranked”. In isolation I’m fine with either argument but stay consistent for the love of god
