@anton_chuvakin So, there were marketing departments out there paying for print ads (which to me shows it was an industry). Infosecurity Product News dropped the “Product” from the title in ‘93 becoming Infosecurity News, then being acquired by SC Magazine in 97. 2/2
@anton_chuvakin The first magazine to cover the Infosecurity industry was Infosecurity Product News published by MIS Training Institute in early 1990. Virus Bulletin was introduced in mid ‘89 (but focused on viruses). ISPN was supported by advertising (controlled circulation publication). 1/2
@johnmccumber I have the exact make and model of that shoe that was recommended to me when I began a walking program last year, doing 2-2.5 miles a day (and keeping below the 15min/mile threshold). I find them to be great for the feet. Certainly beats my Reeboks.
I moderated @BrightTALK webinar w/ @LJKush & @irawinkler on: Information Security Industry Awards & Pay-for-Play PR: Just Say No?. Is it worth $3k to be on #infosec Who’s Who list? $10k for #CISO of the year? Or is it a foolish thing to do? Watch & decide. https://t.co/9jgylHbg2f
As I ease into semi-retirement, I’m on to week 3 of a walking program and already seeing results (have picked up the walking pace since week 1). The new Hoka walking shoes maybe helping as well. It’s hot and humid out, but trying to power through that.

@GlennDOrdway Not your money that he’s being paid with. Why so focused on that? Dude’s being paid for his name/reputation/star power. You got paid for your name/rep once upon a time.
