We know progress is possible because supportive housing organizations helped rehouse 27,951 people in a single year – an all-time record for LA County’s homeless response system. Greater investment in affordable housing is the key to reducing homelessness!

Why does CA have a homelessness crisis? Because a parent working a minimum wage job would have to work 104 hours a week to afford a 2-br apartment to house their family. #HomelessnessIsAPolicyChoice
While overall family homelessness decreased, it didn't happen equitably: families headed by a Black parent comprised 54% of families in shelter.
