I met a group of converts from the National Unity Platform (NUP) at Kololo and thanked them for reforming .

The NRM will support their reintegration into society. I also congratulate the former prisoners for realizing their mistakes & turning away from misleading opposition politics, thereby earning our forgiveness.

These bad leaders in NUP and some sections of FDC misguide the youth into danger, resulting in unnecessary deaths. They really have nothing to offer.

Maama Janet and I spent the afternoon at my former school, Ntare, in Mbarara, where I passed out 1,372 secondary school teachers from Greater Mbarara and Ntungamo who completed patriotism ideology training.

This initiative, which I launched in 2009, is very critical for the country. It provides our people with clarity on what it takes to build a good life and a prosperous society.

By virtue of the powers enshrined under Article 98(1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, and Section 8(1) and (2)(a) of the UPDF Act, 2005, yesterday, on the 17th of February 2024, at the Defence Council meeting, I presented the UPDF Establishment 2021, an instrument of delegated Command, Control, and Administration, to General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF, to command all elements of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces.
