This is Richard Abraham... One of the students that represented Aguata Zone at the state level during the Governor's Debate of 2021. Richard was one of the best speakers that they gave him the title of an "Honourable". This title was given to him by His Excellency Willie Obiano before he stepped down as the governor of Anambra State. He speaks so well and his accent is on another level. Such a bright and promising young guy. Our school was knocked out at the state level and we all felt bad. I lost my Mom in 2022 and somehow I lost communication with Richard. All efforts to reach him proved abortive. Recently, someone told me about him... Little did I know he was running from the world that failed him. I finally caught him around Federal Polytechnic Oko last week we were able to meet this morning. Richard was orphaned immediately after our Debate. Coming from a polygamous home, his half-siblings threw him out because they didn't support their father marrying his Mom. He did not write his WASSCE when his mates did in 2022 because there was no one to support him. He slept in uncompleted buildings living in odd jobs just to survive. One spectacular thing was he didn't turn to delinquent means which could have been the easiest step. He has held on. I covered my conversation with him... Please hear from the horse's mouth. I am soliciting for help towards Richard. He needs to write his O'levels. He needs to understand and life has not giving up on him. Seeing such a rare talent wasting away in the slums is heartbreaking. Please reach out in any possible way... Let him us prove to Richard that it is not over.... I took a brief nap this morning, less than an hour, and within that short period, I had one of the most terrifying and dreadful dreams I have ever experienced.

This isn’t a tech post, but I feel strongly that I shouldn’t keep this to myself.

JESUS IS COMING SOON.

Whether that dream was simply a dream or a warning that God allowed me to experience, it has genuinely left me thinking deeply about my life, my relationship with God, and the things we place so much importance on.

We spend so much of our lives chasing money, success, careers, possessions and achievements. And while none of these things are inherently wrong, we should never become so consumed by them that we forget God.

So I’m putting this out there:

Repent. Draw closer to God. Seek Him while you can.

If this message reaches even one person and makes them pause and reconsider their walk with God, then I’m glad I shared it.

May God help us all.

I watched with disappointment the recent interview granted by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to Channels Television on Monday.

After a prolonged absence from public discourse, one would have expected that time away might have sharpened Senator Sheriff’s judgment. Regrettably, that does not appear to be the case.

In the interview, the former governor claimed that Peter Obi cannot command sizeable support in Northern Nigeria. It is curious that he has appointed himself spokesperson for the Northern masses. For the record, in his first outing on the presidential ballot, Mr. Obi secured approximately 2.8 million votes in the region — a remarkable achievement that cannot be dismissed lightly.

Given the current national hardships, the widespread consensus on the failure of the APC administration, and the addition of a strong Northern figure to the ticket who previously garnered 1.45 million votes in the region, the OK ticket remains a formidable force in Northern politics.

Even more surprising was Senator Sheriff’s assertion that the people of Kano would not vote for Mr. Obi. Let me state clearly: the good people of Kano are neither bigoted nor xenophobic. They have consistently demonstrated strong trust in the Kwankwasiyya movement and will support any credible ticket presented under its banner.

I respectfully advise Senator Sheriff that, in future national television appearances, he would do better to speak to the serious insecurity and humanitarian challenges facing his home state, rather than making divisive and poorly considered remarks.

The OK ticket currently represents the best opportunity for Nigerians to reset the country and place it on a path of competence, unity, and progress. - RMK

My Vision for a Productive and Prosperous Nigeria

Today, being the 1st of July, 2026, I wish to humbly recall that when I decided to contest for the office of President of Nigeria, I pledged to place Nigeria on the path of unity and national transformation. Now, as the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, I will, in the coming weeks and months, provide insights into the roadmap that I am confident will help curb abuse in government, halt the decline in the quality of life of Nigerians at all levels, and usher in an era of unity, peace, sustained progress, and prosperity.

This vision is anchored on a commitment to unity, inclusion, social justice, equity, and the freedom of every citizen to pursue lawful dreams.

Central to this proposed roadmap are significant reforms in education and healthcare, which are at the core of human capital development.

Robust human capital is indispensable infrastructure for national progress. It serves as the fundamental capital upon which daily life, economic expansion, and the delivery of essential public services depend.

These are foundational areas that we must reform with energy and determination if we are to reap the demographic dividend of our youthful population.

From the outset of my presidency, we will establish a task force dedicated to drastically reducing the menace of out-of-school children. We will place greater emphasis on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to support our drive for massive industrialisation, anchored on our agricultural endowments and value addition across value chains organised around industrial parks to be located in development zones across the geopolitical regions of the country.

Funding and improving the equipment of TVET institutions, through partnerships among government, the private sector, and social entrepreneurs such as faith-based educators, will facilitate apprenticeship opportunities in the private sector, similar to the German dual education system.

The situation in which unemployment remains high while Nigerian entrepreneurs establish businesses elsewhere because skilled labour is scarce must be confronted decisively. Doing so is essential for the common good and for facilitating our transition from a consumption-driven economy to a production-driven one.

Character and civic education, emphasising the values that foster trust - an essential ingredient for enterprise and leadership - as well as shared national values, will receive significant attention within the tripartite approach to governance that we propose.

PVC is the bridge to a New Nigeria

Today, I want to plead with every Nigerian, young and old to heed this call to action.

The future of our dear nation is in your hands. The greatest strength of democracy is in the voter’s card. Your PVC is the voice of the voiceless, the shield of the weak, and the weapon of the poor for a better life, against injustice and bad leadership. I appeal to every Nigerian: Get Organised and Make Election Rigging Difficult. Go out, register, collect your PVC, and hold it firmly as your bridge to a new Nigeria.

Let us know this: those who buy votes are not offering you charity; they only invest in their own corruption. They buy votes so that they can buy their way into our treasury to steal public money. When they get into that office, they will loot the funds that should have been used to build schools, hospitals or provide good jobs. Such people are not leaders, they are criminals in disguise. They are no better than killers, armed robbers, and kidnappers, because they commit the same crime of destruction.

To those who sell their votes, you are not just selling an election, you are selling the very opportunities that would have lifted you and your family out of poverty. You are selling the schools that your children should have attended, the hospitals that should save your loved ones and the jobs that would have given you dignity and a better life. Those who buy your vote are only buying it to make a profit from the seat of power, not to serve you.

The power to change this country is in your hands, the looters will only loot when we give them the opportunity. Your vote counts, if it doesn’t, they would not be desperately buying that vote.

Every Nigerian must rise and take responsibility for building the nation we dream of.

Our democracy is at stake. That is why I urge every eligible Nigerian to register, collect, and safeguard your PVC, and when the time comes, use it wisely. Vote for leaders of competence, character, capacity, and compassion. Leaders who will put you first. Do not be intimidated, do not be deceived, and do not be bought.

Let us stand together and prove that Nigeria belongs to the people, not to those who trade our future for their selfish gain.

Register to vote, because a new Nigeria starts with you.

The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.

Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian.

Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions.

Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok.

This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal?

At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people.

It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations.

The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people.

The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure.
