Today we saw the beginning of the end of Democrat rule in California.
The removal of the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act from the ballot, along with Sacramento Democrats' attempts to kill the citizens' initiative to reform Proposition 47, will be a turning point in California's politics.
We now see clearly that an arrogant, morally bankrupt ruling elite in Sacramento, drunk on their own power, cannot stand the slightest challenge to their extreme ideology, a far left experiment that has led to failure on every front.
When citizens rise up to demand common sense, reasonable reform, they are thwarted with cynical schemes designed to perpetuate Democrat political monopoly by undermining democracy.
First on crime, now on taxes: how dare these out of touch, utterly corrupted politicians treat Californians with such contempt?
It is time to fight back and I look forward to leading the charge.
California voters put the Taxpayer Protection & Government Accountability Act on the ballot but the state sued to block it.
Huntington Beach voters passed Voter ID but the state is suing to block it.
Democrats scream endlessly about "democracy" but don't actually believe in it.
🚨 DAVE SMITH: “Donald Trump for the first time ever wins the popular vote, wins every single swing state, and … won the youth and the culture … That whole coalition has been destroyed over this war. And now he's going to hand the country right back over to these Democrats…”
As yet another preemptive war is begun in the Middle East, John Quincy Adam’s words of wisdom still ring true:
“Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.”
Like most Americans I have sympathy for the plight of the Iranian people and all subjected people around the globe, from North Korea to Tibet.
But as Adam’s wrote, America: “goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.
She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.
She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.”
The Constitution conferred the power to declare or initiate war to Congress for a reason, to make war less likely.
Madison wrote that “the Executive Branch is the branch most prone to war, therefore, the Constitution, with studied care, delegated the war power to the legislature.”
As with all war, my first and purest instinct is wish Americans soldiers safety and success in their mission.
But my oath of office is to the Constitution, so with studied care, I must oppose another Presidential war.
@nypost Love it "We’re not going to litigate this in the media." But then goes on to say "We’re here, today, to set the record straight." That's the exact definition of litigating the case in the media lol what a joke!
"I wasn't trying to [hit him]. He tried to get hit by the pitch before and then he got hit.
Then he talked to me. I said come see me and he didn't. Whatever."
