🚨According to reports, Citizens Bank just cut off credit to the companies that run ICE detention centers after months of pressure from anti-ICE activists!!

The bank announced it is exiting its lending relationships with GEO Group and CoreCivic, the two largest private operators of immigration detention facilities.

Activists spent months protesting outside branches and the bank’s headquarters.

Progressive groups celebrated the decision as a victory. The bank claims it was a pure business move tied to the federal government buying some of the facilities.

A major American bank is now refusing to finance the companies helping enforce immigration law. Let that sink in.

EXPOSE HER! Former Richland County councilwoman Dalhi Myers spent public funds on personal luxuries and still avoided prison!!!

While serving on the council from 2016 to 2020 she charged a personal trip to Greece, department-store shopping, and Barnes & Noble purchases to a county credit card. After The State newspaper requested the records she wrote a $27,000 repayment check that bounced twice.

A state grand jury charged her with 24 counts of public corruption in 2020.

Nearly five years later she pleaded guilty to one count of misconduct in office and three counts of using her official position for financial gain.

The judge imposed a 10-year sentence then suspended it to three years of probation and ordered just $6,400 in restitution.

This month the State Ethics Commission dismissed its own case against her because the charges overlapped with the criminal matter she already settled with a light penalty.

Elected officials who convert public money into private spending and then face nothing more than probation send a clear message that accountability is optional.

ENOUGH ALREADY! Metro Nashville Police are now slapping rainbow stickers on businesses... and telling officers their job includes making sure people feel loved for who they sleep with.

In a recent video, an MNPD officer with a rainbow flag pin on his/her vest enthusiastically describes the department’s “Safe Place” program.

The officer states: “I love being a part of it”, and adds that they/them will “come out to the location and go over the program for any victim of any hate crime whatsoever” and that “somebody needs to know that they’re loved and not be scared to live your full authentic self.”

As the largest police news outlet in the world, we’ve got this to say: get back to policing and stop talking about who you sleep with.

Police departments exist to enforce the law, investigate crimes, and protect every citizen equally. They are not social service agencies or identity politics promoters.

When officers are filmed celebrating rainbow stickers and “authentic self” messaging instead of discussing crime reduction or officer safety, priorities have clearly shifted.

This is what happens when departments chase social trends instead of sticking to their core mission. The public expects cops to catch criminals, not hand out affirmation stickers.

Metro Nashville Police Department needs to refocus immediately. Every resource spent on these programs is a resource taken away from actual law enforcement.
