@usaskchem students recently attended a tour of the @SRCnews Geo Analytical Labs, organized by @UsaskWiC. Students visited various labs, such as the Advanced Microanalytic Centre. It was a great opportunity to learn about labs with both research and commercial applications!
#YXE come see us at @usask Open House! Know more about what chemists do and all the opportunities #chemistry can open for you! 👩🏾🔬👩🔬👨🏿🔬👨🏽🔬Thanks to @USaskChem@VWR@thermofisher@Agilent and SFR (Systems For Research) for your support to promote chemistry to our young community💚!
#SciLit PhD student @JennyPanchuk👩🏽🔬: "...Being an ICE (Inorganic Chemistry Exchange) student in the Bieringer lab at @umanitoba had initially motivated me to pursue chemistry. All the support I received along the way also made me more confident to do so!..."
Happy SCIENCE literacy week ✨🎊! Share your excitement for science 😀!
What motivated you to start your science path 👀🔎? Whether it was a person, a class, a movie, a drawing; we want to know your story! #SciLit#AcademicChatter#chemtwitter#WomeninSTEM#scicomm RT!
#SciLit Dr. Amy Stevens👩🏻🔬: "...I didn't plan my career path. I just loved (and still love) to learn new things, especially about the world around us. Science seemed a great way to do that and it's what keeps me going!"... Right: set-up I use to measure the lifetime of molecules!
Mark your calendars for September 27th! Dr. Cora Young from the Department of Chemistry at York University will be joining us for our Friday Seminar Series!
@UsaskWiC It started for me when I made “mole” cookies in high school! Loved learn about how things worked and how even baking cookies could be chemistry 😆. My Chem teacher was really amazing and made everything fun! (Bonus my group won the best tasting cookies too 😂)
