At approx. 10 pm Thursday, a vehicle attempted to ram the main gate at USCG Base Alameda. When the driver ignored commands and posed a threat, LE officers discharged live fire. No USCG members were injured. The FBI is leading the investigation.

Drone footage of first approved commercial vessel to transit through the safety zone Sept. 11, 2025 at Port of Long Beach. As of Sept. 16, 2025, 31 vessels: 15 deep drafts, 12 tugs and barges, four miscellaneous commercial vessels have been approved by Captain of the Port.
