I’ve had the “free” universal healthcare when I was living and working extensively overseas. These countries generally have a private sector “shadow” system in place too (so wealthier individuals and families have the private medical system/concierge system complained about in the US). The free universal healthcare system isn’t complicated and expensive. As they say, it’s expensive and costly, but at least it’s slow too!

@SenEricSchmitt If the equivalent of a $272k/year job in the government is a $19/hour job in the private sector, taxpayers are seriously overpaying for government services.
