@JMUSportsNews In no way shape or form do I have an expertise on this but it seems egregious that a conference that only pays their programs a few 100k a year can demand a 20 mil exit fee. If it passes I wonder if we can sue to get that # down.
@Harry_MiniumODU Yeah. Conference saw the writing on the wall and are trying to wring out any money they can from the programs that have outgrown them. Voting for a 20 million dollar exit fee when they only pay members a few 100k a year in media rights is egregious.
@BIG10Bruin Relax buddy. You purchased a team someone else built and are mistaking it for something your school could have done themselves. Remember who daddy is.
@JMUGameday My guess is every program with options is going to vote against it and every one without options for it. Given it’s the Sunbelt and programs suck it’ll likely pass.
@ASUREDWOLF We have the right, just like every other team in the conference, to act in our best interest. In this case it means putting up the proverbial “Open to Work” sign. It’s the conference job to navigate this.
@kay_noirx@Chomag77 Stupid fucking argument. “Jails were supposed to deter crime for centuries. Crime still occurs and sometimes happened in the town that the jail existed in.” Therefore abolish jails type of argument.
@GumbyMU@JMUBarstool Not the point bud. We’re at least 8.9 point favorites in every game for the rest of the season with a new head coach and roster flip. Coming into every game trying not to lose instead of trying to win isn’t very exciting.
@trophycaribou21@bailsknowsball In my opinion this was leaked by the AAC to signal to teams thinking of leaving that they have growth prospects and are a popular conference choice. No doubt other teams reached out as well but they chose to leak these three specifically.
