@kmr_dilip@paraschopra Last point, one way to structurally amplify this is to invest in teacher training. Which is right now stuck in useless formalities. Need to scale programs that actually give authentic experiences to teachers. Science academies have a program, not aure how succesful.
Idea - a traffic simulation game that you can play while you are stuck at Hebbal, Silk Board etc.
Serious question - can the simulations be open-sourced and made available to public?
@DeepaAgashe @vscooper Also, another study reports some correlation between (a) optimal growth temperature (Topt) changes and magnitude of GC jumps, and (b) GC changes and magnitude of Topt jumps. https://t.co/q8cBxsoHnW
@SomdattaKarak@meghaphd@Ashwini76690549@badjoby I have seen- individual faculty & institutions vary by prior research experience, res tradition, infra, funds, access to scientists. Even in a research metro like Blr. Needs will differ too. Maybe a systematic survey will help target? India BioSci should know more and help.
I seek to hear from BSc & MSc teachers of India. Would you like to run small research projects with your students? If so, I'd love to know i) if you would need help from a scientist/research facility, ii) would you design the project or a scientist should define the prob? RT pls
@SomdattaKarak@meghaphd@badjoby Great way to go, because it will have an amplifying effect. Colleges/univs need to alleviate some constraints e.g. teaching load. If we want to enable amplification, then we should enable independence and quality. Start with given problems, but then mentor for independence?
Would you like to get your students to think deeply and critically?
Here are some simple follow-up questions that help learners to think deeper, get everyone involved and creates a rich discourse in classrooms.

One of the authors of @ithinkbiology! @sravUpp will share what motivated her and her colleagues at
@azimpremjiuniv to develop the iThink Biology project. Be sure to join us at 5 pm tomorrow to hear Profs Sravanti & Kaustubh in conversation with Prof Shashidhara from @AshokaUniv
Here is an example of an exercise from the chapter on Figs! When we said that we take a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to teach biology... we meant it! 😁
