My local authority wouldn’t even provide me with a laptop when they insisted I worked from home, meaning I had to buy one. The schools IT/ internet isn’t even good enough to host a teams meeting. Somehow a laptop for every pupil is a priority? 🙄

@nicolioli2021 Twinkl subscription over £100 pa, various stationery items that school doesn’t have, snacks for some children who don’t have, resources such as books, toys, sensory items, classroom display items, reward items, ppe, training course at over £100 per course... list is endless.

@crabbyranter @ThisIsBrucifer I know, I always have a backup plan too. The other issue I find is that I plan things at home and then they don’t work in school!

@crabbyranter @ThisIsBrucifer Likewise, spending hours planning lessons for them to go out the window because they rely on a particular website/video clip/ game etc has been a regular occurrence in every school I’ve ever worked in. Even worse now working with ASN kids who find it difficult to change plans.

Interesting - up until now Greig has been championing Richard Lucas’ Scottish Family Party. Was very quick in abandoning this when the chance to stand for parliament came up. Bets on when Jo will anounce her candidacy?

@DiscoGaza As I said, bad apples in every profession... interesting though that many GP practices still aren’t seeing patients face to face, wonder if she’s so concerned about that? Or is it just the school staff who should be in work without any protection.

Of course there are bad apples in every profession, but still I very much doubt both of these parents are doctors. Maybe they trained at the same uni as Krista?

The EIS recently raised with UfT inappropriate posts on its FB page (but had no reply) and made reports to Facebook and to the Police. Posts identifying school or staff should be raised with member’s school and Council as the employer. Advice in doing this is available from EIS.

@UsforUsScotland reaching new lows with this one. Supposedly the fact that teachers may be have a 45% greater risk of catching COVID doesn’t suit their agenda...at least they are honest about it 😩
